AERIALIST @ AERODAYS 2020

The 8th edition of the Aerodays - #Aerodays2020 - relies for the first time on a double event:A first part, under the European Union’s Presidency of Romania and hosted at the Palace of Parliament, took place in Bucharest in May 2019. It gathered about 1,000 aviation stakeholders from Europe and all over the world to draw a picture of the state of the art of aviation research reached so far.A second part, due to the Covid-19 crisis, took place on 25-26 November 2020 on a hybrid format: physically in Germany/Berlin (with a limited participation) and virtually via a dedicated virtual conference and exhibition premise. In this complex context, the European Aeronautics Days (Aerodays) conference is the European Union’s flagship event for aviation comes at a very right moment. Its objective is to deliver an exhaustive picture of all aviation research achievements obtained so far from European research – and beyond - and to look forward to future research needs in order...

AERIALIST Final Meeting

After three years of intense research activity, the Aerialist Project came to its end. The Final Meeting of the project has been held in the form of an online meeting due to the complicated situation and public health measures concerning the COVID-19 pandemic the 30th June 2020. All the partners presented to the Project Officer and to the panel of experts the project activities and the outcomes of the various work packages, with a particular focus on the advancements achieved in the second part of the project. During the Mid Term meeting, the experts gave their advice and recommendations which have been fruitfully followed, leading to excellent scientific results. All the work package contributed to the production of an extensive literature, with more than 30 scientific works, among papers published in international journals and presented at the most relevant international congresses of the sector. These publications hold the advancements Aerialist achieved in the field of aeroacoustic metamaterials in terms of theoretical and...
